Mission & philosophy

Why we do this and how we expect our umpires to work.

DRAFT — To give every game a prepared, professional crew, and to develop umpires who make the game better at every level they work.

  • Prepared

Know the rule book, know the event's ground rules, and show up early in a clean uniform.

  • Accountable

Own every call. Review the video, read the report, and get better next game.

  • Consistent

One strike zone, one set of mechanics, from the first pitch to the last out.

  • A crew

We take care of each other on and off the field, and we bring new umpires along.
